Raw honey · Bungoma
From our own hives, harvested and packed by us. Every jar can be traced back to its batch.
Our honey
Nothing added. No sugar syrup, no water, no blending with other honey.
Not heated and not ultra-filtered. We strain it and pack it, and that's all.
30 hives we keep ourselves in western Kenya. We harvest and pack every jar.
From hive to jar
Every jar carries a batch code. Enter it and you'll see when that honey was harvested and packed, which hives it came from, its moisture reading, and how many jars the batch made.
Our hives sit on sensor scales that send us their weight from the apiary, so we can follow each hive through the season.

Questions
It's natural. Raw honey crystallises over time, some batches sooner than others, and faster in the cold. It's still good honey.
To make it runny again, stand the closed jar in warm water, below 40 °C, and stir now and then. Please don't microwave it or boil it.
Keep the lid on tight, somewhere dry, at room temperature. Never in the fridge: the cold makes it crystallise faster. Use a dry spoon: water in the jar can make honey ferment.
We don't heat our honey or ultra-filter it. We only strain it to take out bits of wax, then pack it. Nothing is added.
Every jar has a batch code on the back label, next to the word Batch. It looks like NB-2610-01: the four numbers are the year and month we packed it, and the last two are the batch that month.
Scan the QR code on the label, or go to nabee.co.ke/trace, and type it in to see where and when your honey was harvested.
It's a quality date, not a safety date. Sealed and stored well, honey keeps for a very long time, but its colour, flavour and texture slowly change. The best-before date is how long we expect it to taste the way we packed it.
